Juz 7

لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ﴿٨٢﴾

Latajidanna ashadda alnnasi AAadawatan lillatheena amanoo alyahooda waallatheena ashrakoo walatajidanna aqrabahum mawaddatan lillatheena amanoo allatheena qaloo inna nasara thalika bianna minhum qisseeseena waruhbanan waannahum la yastakbiroona

(اے پیغمبرﷺ!) تم دیکھو گے کہ مومنوں کے ساتھ سب سے زیادہ دشمنی کرنے والے یہودی اور مشرک ہیں اور دوستی کے لحاظ سے مومنوں سے قریب تر ان لوگوں کو پاؤ گے جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نصاریٰ ہیں یہ اس لیے کہ ان میں عالم بھی ہیں اور مشائخ بھی اور وہ تکبر نہیں کرتے

You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ ﴿٨٣﴾

Waitha samiAAoo ma onzila ila alrrasooli tara aAAyunahum tafeedu mina alddamAAi mimma AAarafoo mina alhaqqi yaqooloona rabbana amanna faoktubna maAAa alshshahideena

اور جب اس (کتاب) کو سنتے ہیں جو (سب سے پہلے) پیغمبر (محمدﷺ) پر نازل ہوئی تو تم دیکھتے ہو کہ ان کی آنکھوں سے آنسو جاری ہو جاتے ہیں اس لیے کہ انہوں نے حق بات پہچان لی اور وہ (خدا کی جناب میں) عرض کرتے ہیں کہ اے پروردگار ہم ایمان لے آئے تو ہم کو ماننے والوں میں لکھ لے

And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses.

وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿٨٤﴾

Wama lana la numinu biAllahi wama jaana mina alhaqqi wanatmaAAu an yudkhilana rabbuna maAAa alqawmi alssaliheena

اور ہمیں کیا ہوا ہے کہ خدا پر اور حق بات پر جو ہمارے پاس آئی ہے ایمان نہ لائیں اور ہم امید رکھتے ہیں کہ پروردگار ہم کو نیک بندوں کے ساتھ (بہشت میں) داخل کرے گا

And why should we not believe in Allah and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us [to Paradise] with the righteous people."

فَأَثَٰبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿٨٥﴾

Faathabahumu Allahu bima qaloo jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wathalika jazao almuhsineena

تو خدا نے ان کو اس کہنے کے عوض (بہشت کے) باغ عطا فرمائے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں وہ ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں گے اور نیکو کاروں کا یہی صلہ ہے

So Allah rewarded them for what they said with gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of doers of good.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿٨٦﴾

Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina olaika ashabu aljaheemi

اور جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا وہ جہنمی ہیں

But those who disbelieved and denied Our signs - they are the companions of Hellfire.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحَرِّمُوا۟ طَيِّبَٰتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ ﴿٨٧﴾

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tuharrimoo tayyibati ma ahalla Allahu lakum wala taAAtadoo inna Allaha la yuhibbu almuAAtadeena

مومنو! جو پاکیزہ چیزیں خدا نے تمہارے لیے حلال کی ہیں ان کو حرام نہ کرو اور حد سے نہ بڑھو کہ خدا حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا

O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.

وَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَٰلًا طَيِّبًا وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٨٨﴾

Wakuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu halalan tayyiban waittaqoo Allaha allathee antum bihi muminoona

اور جو حلال طیّب روزی خدا نے تم کو دی ہے اسے کھاؤ اور خدا سے جس پر ایمان رکھتے ہو ڈرتے رہو

And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.

لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَٰكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّٰرَةُ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿٨٩﴾

La yuakhithukumu Allahu biallaghwi fee aymanikum walakin yuakhithukum bima AAaqqadtumu alaymana fakaffaratuhu itAAamu AAasharati masakeena min awsati ma tutAAimoona ahleekum aw kiswatuhum aw tahreeru raqabatin faman lam yajid fasiyamu thalathati ayyamin thalika kaffaratu aymanikum itha halaftum waihfa<i>th</i>oo aymanakum kathalika yubayyinu Allahu lakum ayatihi laAAallakum tashkuroona

خدا تمہاری بےارادہ قسموں پر تم سے مواخذہ نہیں کرے گا لیکن پختہ قسموں پر (جن کے خلاف کرو گے) مواخذہ کرے گا تو اس کا کفارہ دس محتاجوں کو اوسط درجے کا کھانا کھلانا ہے جو تم اپنے اہل وعیال کو کھلاتے ہو یا ان کو کپڑے دینا یا ایک غلام آزاد کرنا اور جس کو میسر نہ ہو وہ تین روزے رکھے یہ تمہاری قسموں کا کفارہ ہے جب تم قسم کھا لو (اور اسے توڑ دو) اور (تم کو) چاہئے کہ اپنی قسموں کی حفاظت کرو اس طرح خدا تمہارے (سمجھانے کے) لیے اپنی آیتیں کھول کھول کر بیان فرماتا ہے تاکہ تم شکر کرو

Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is meaningless in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for [breaking] what you intended of oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever cannot find [or afford it] - then a fast of three days [is required]. That is the expiation for oaths when you have sworn. But guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be grateful.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْخَمْرُ وَٱلْمَيْسِرُ وَٱلْأَنصَابُ وَٱلْأَزْلَٰمُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ فَٱجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ﴿٩٠﴾

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo innama alkhamru waalmaysiru waalansabu waalazlamu rijsun min AAamali alshshaytani faijtaniboohu laAAallakum tuflihoona

اے ایمان والو! شراب اور جوا اور بت اور پاسے (یہ سب) ناپاک کام اعمال شیطان سے ہیں سو ان سے بچتے رہنا تاکہ نجات پاؤ

O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ فِى ٱلْخَمْرِ وَٱلْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ ﴿٩١﴾

Innama yureedu alshshaytanu an yooqiAAa baynakumu alAAadawata waalbaghdaa fee alkhamri waalmaysiri wayasuddakum AAan thikri Allahi waAAani alssalati fahal antum muntahoona

شیطان تو یہ چاہتا ہے کہ شراب اور جوئے کے سبب تمہارے آپس میں دشمنی اور رنجش ڈلوا دے اور تمہیں خدا کی یاد سے اور نماز سے روک دے تو تم کو (ان کاموں سے) باز رہنا چاہیئے

Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?

وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَٱحْذَرُوا۟ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ﴿٩٢﴾

WaateeAAoo Allaha waateeAAoo alrrasoola waihtharoo fain tawallaytum faiAAlamoo annama AAala rasoolina albalaghu almubeenu

اور خدا کی فرمانبرداری اور رسولِ (خدا) کی اطاعت کرتے رہو اور ڈرتے رہو اگر منہ پھیرو گے تو جان رکھو کہ ہمارے پیغمبر کے ذمے تو صرف پیغام کا کھول کر پہنچا دینا ہے

And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware. And if you turn away - then know that upon Our Messenger is only [the responsibility for] clear notification.

لَيْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوٓا۟ إِذَا مَا ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿٩٣﴾

Laysa AAala allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati junahun feema taAAimoo itha ma ittaqaw waamanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati thumma ittaqaw waamanoo thumma ittaqaw waahsanoo waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineena

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک کام کرتے رہے ان پر ان چیزوں کا کچھ گناہ نہیں جو وہ کھا چکے جب کہ انہوں نے پرہیز کیا اور ایمان لائے اور نیک کام کیے پھر پرہیز کیا اور ایمان لائے پھر پرہیز کیا اور نیکو کاری کی اور خدا نیکو کاروں کو دوست رکھتا ہے

There is not upon those who believe and do righteousness [any] blame concerning what they have eaten [in the past] if they [now] fear Allah and believe and do righteous deeds, and then fear Allah and believe, and then fear Allah and do good; and Allah loves the doers of good.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِشَىْءٍ مِّنَ ٱلصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُۥٓ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ فَمَنِ ٱعْتَدَىٰ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿٩٤﴾

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo layabluwannakumu Allahu bishayin mina alssaydi tanaluhu aydeekum warimahukum liyaAAlama Allahu man yakhafuhu bialghaybi famani iAAtada baAAda thalika falahu AAathabun aleemun

مومنو! کسی قدر شکار سے جن کو تم ہاتھوں اور نیزوں سے پکڑ سکو خدا تمہاری آزمائش کرے گا (یعنی حالت احرام میں شکار کی ممانعت سے) تا کہ معلوم کرے کہ اس سے غائبانہ کون ڈرتا ہے تو جو اس کے بعد زیادتی کرے اس کے لیے دکھ دینے والا عذاب (تیار) ہے

O you who have believed, Allah will surely test you through something of the game that your hands and spears [can] reach, that Allah may make evident those who fear Him unseen. And whoever transgresses after that - for him is a painful punishment.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ وَمَن قَتَلَهُۥ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَآءٌ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ ٱلنَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِۦ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًۢا بَٰلِغَ ٱلْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّٰرَةٌ طَعَامُ مَسَٰكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامًا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِۦ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِنْهُ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ ﴿٩٥﴾

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la taqtuloo alssayda waantum hurumun waman qatalahu minkum mutaAAammidan fajazaon mithlu ma qatala mina alnnaAAami yahkumu bihi thawa AAadlin minkum hadyan baligha alkaAAbati aw kaffaratun taAAamu masakeena aw AAadlu thalika siyaman liyathooqa wabala amrihi AAafa Allahu AAamma salafa waman AAada fayantaqimu Allahu minhu waAllahu AAazeezun thoo intiqamin

مومنو! جب تم احرام کی حالت میں ہو تو شکار نہ مارنا اور جو تم میں سے جان بوجھ کر اسے مارے تو (یا تو اس کا) بدلہ (دے اور وہ یہ ہے کہ) اسی طرح کا چارپایہ جسے تم میں دو معتبر شخص مقرر کردیں قربانی (کرے اور یہ قربانی) کعبے پہنچائی جائے یا کفارہ (دے اور وہ) مسکینوں کو کھانا کھلانا (ہے) یا اس کے برابر روزے رکھے تاکہ اپنے کام کی سزا (کا مزہ) چکھے (اور) جو پہلے ہو چکا وہ خدا نے معاف کر دیا اور جو پھر (ایسا کام) کرے گا تو خدا اس سے انتقام لے گا اور خدا غالب اور انتقام لینے والا ہے

O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of ihram. And whoever of you kills it intentionally - the penalty is an equivalent from sacrificial animals to what he killed, as judged by two just men among you as an offering [to Allah] delivered to the Ka'bah, or an expiation: the feeding of needy people or the equivalent of that in fasting, that he may taste the consequence of his deed. Allah has pardoned what is past; but whoever returns [to violation], then Allah will take retribution from him. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution.

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُۥ مَتَٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ ﴿٩٦﴾

Ohilla lakum saydu albahri wataAAamuhu mataAAan lakum walilssayyarati wahurrima AAalaykum saydu albarri ma dumtum huruman waittaqoo Allaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona

تمہارے لیے دریا (کی چیزوں) کا شکار اور ان کا کھانا حلال کر دیا گیا ہے (یعنی) تمہارے اور مسافروں کے فائدے کے لیے اور جنگل (کی چیزوں) کا شکار جب تک تم احرام کی حالت میں رہو تم پر حرام ہے اور خدا سے جس کے پاس تم (سب) جمع کئے جاؤ گے ڈرتے رہو

Lawful to you is game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers, but forbidden to you is game from the land as long as you are in the state of ihram. And fear Allah to whom you will be gathered.

جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكَعْبَةَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ قِيَٰمًا لِّلنَّاسِ وَٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَٱلْهَدْىَ وَٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٩٧﴾

JaAAala Allahu alkaAAbata albayta alharama qiyaman lilnnasi waalshshahra alharama waalhadya waalqalaida thalika litaAAlamoo anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi waanna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun

خدا نے عزت کے گھر (یعنی) کعبے کو لوگوں کے لیے موجب امن مقرر فرمایا ہے اور عزت کے مہینوں کو اور قربانی کو اور ان جانوروں کو جن کے گلے میں پٹے بندھے ہوں یہ اس لیے کہ تم جان لو کہ جو کچھ آسمانوں میں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے خدا سب کو جانتا ہے اور یہ کہ خدا کو ہر چیز کا علم ہے

Allah has made the Ka'bah, the Sacred House, standing for the people and [has sanctified] the sacred months and the sacrificial animals and the garlands [by which they are identified]. That is so you may know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and that Allah is Knowing of all things.

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿٩٨﴾

IAAlamoo anna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi waanna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

جان رکھو کہ خدا سخت غداب دینے والا ہے اور یہ کہ خدا بخشنے والا مہربان بھی ہے

Know that Allah is severe in penalty and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

مَّا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ ﴿٩٩﴾

Ma AAala alrrasooli illa albalaghu waAllahu yaAAlamu ma tubdoona wama taktumoona

پیغمبر کے ذمے تو صرف پیغام خدا کا پہنچا دینا ہے اور جو کچھ تم ظاہر کرتے ہو اور جو کچھ مخفی کرتے ہو خدا کو سب معلوم ہے

Not upon the Messenger is [responsibility] except [for] notification. And Allah knows whatever you reveal and whatever you conceal.

قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْخَبِيثُ وَٱلطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ ٱلْخَبِيثِ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ﴿١٠٠﴾

Qul la yastawee alkhabeethu waalttayyibu walaw aAAjabaka kathratu alkhabeethi faittaqoo Allaha ya olee alalbabi laAAallakum tuflihoona

کہہ دو کہ ناپاک چیزیں اور پاک چیزیں برابر نہیں ہوتیں گو ناپاک چیزوں کی کثرت تمہیں خوش ہی لگے تو عقل والو خدا سے ڈرتے رہو تاکہ رستگاری حاصل کرو

Say, "Not equal are the evil and the good, although the abundance of evil might impress you." So fear Allah, O you of understanding, that you may be successful.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنْهَا وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ ﴿١٠١﴾

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tasaloo AAan ashyaa in tubda lakum tasukum wain tasaloo AAanha heena yunazzalu alquranu tubda lakum AAafa Allahu AAanha waAllahu ghafoorun haleemun

مومنو! ایسی چیزوں کے بارے میں مت سوال کرو کہ اگر (ان کی حقیقتیں) تم پر ظاہر کر دی جائیں تو تمہیں بری لگیں اور اگر قرآن کے نازل ہونے کے ایام میں ایسی باتیں پوچھو گے تو تم پر ظاہر بھی کر دی جائیں گی (اب تو) خدا نے ایسی باتوں (کے پوچھنے) سے درگزر فرمایا ہے اور خدا بخشنے والا بردبار ہے

O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned that which is past; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.

قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا۟ بِهَا كَٰفِرِينَ ﴿١٠٢﴾

Qad saalaha qawmun min qablikum thumma asbahoo biha kafireena

اس طرح کی باتیں تم سے پہلے لوگوں نے بھی پوچھی تھیں (مگر جب بتائی گئیں تو) پھر ان سے منکر ہو گئے

A people asked such [questions] before you; then they became thereby disbelievers.

مَا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَحِيرَةٍ وَلَا سَآئِبَةٍ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٍ وَلَا حَامٍ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿١٠٣﴾

Ma jaAAala Allahu min baheeratin wala saibatin wala waseelatin wala hamin walakinna allatheena kafaroo yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba waaktharuhum la yaAAqiloona

خدا نے نہ تو بحیرہ کچھ چیز بنایا ہے اور نہ سائبہ اور نہ وصیلہ اور نہ حام بلکہ کافر خدا پر جھوٹ افترا کرتے ہیں اور یہ اکثر عقل نہیں رکھتے

Allah has not appointed [such innovations as] bahirah or sa'ibah or wasilah or ham. But those who disbelieve invent falsehood about Allah, and most of them do not reason.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ قَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ ﴿١٠٤﴾

Waitha qeela lahum taAAalaw ila ma anzala Allahu waila alrrasooli qaloo hasbuna ma wajadna AAalayhi abaana awalaw kana abaohum la yaAAlamoona shayan wala yahtadoona

اور جب ان لوگوں سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ جو (کتاب) خدا نے نازل فرمائی ہے اس کی اور رسول الله کی طرف رجوع کرو تو کہتے ہیں کہ جس طریق پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا ہے وہی ہمیں کافی ہے بھلا اگر ان کے باپ دادا نہ تو کچھ جانتے ہوں اور نہ سیدھے رستے پر ہوں (تب بھی؟)

And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," they say, "Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our fathers." Even though their fathers knew nothing, nor were they guided?

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا ٱهْتَدَيْتُمْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٠٥﴾

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo AAalaykum anfusakum la yadurrukum man dalla itha ihtadaytum ila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona

اے ایمان والو! اپنی جانوں کی حفاظت کرو جب تم ہدایت پر ہو تو کوئی گمراہ تمہارا کچھ بھی بگاڑ نہیں سکتا تم سب کو خدا کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے اس وقت وہ تم کو تمہارے سب کاموں سے جو (دنیا میں) کئے تھے آگاہ کرے گا (اور ان کا بدلہ دے گا)

O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided. To Allah is you return all together; then He will inform you of what you used to do.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَٰدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ حِينَ ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ ٱثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصَٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِى بِهِۦ ثَمَنًا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَٰدَةَ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْـَٔاثِمِينَ ﴿١٠٦﴾

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo shahadatu baynikum itha hadara ahadakumu almawtu heena alwasiyyati ithnani thawa AAadlin minkum aw akharani min ghayrikum in antum darabtum fee alardi faasabatkum museebatu almawti tahbisoonahuma min baAAdi alssalati fayuqsimani biAllahi ini irtabtum la nashtaree bihi thamanan walaw kana tha qurba wala naktumu shahadata Allahi inna ithan lamina alathimeena

مومنو! جب تم میں سے کسی کی موت آموجود ہو تو شہادت (کا نصاب) یہ ہے کہ وصیت کے وقت تم (مسلمانوں) میں سے دو عادل (یعنی صاحب اعتبار) گواہ ہوں یا اگر (مسلمان نہ ملیں اور) تم سفر کر رہے ہو اور (اس وقت) تم پر موت کی مصیبت واقع ہو تو کسی دوسرے مذہب کے دو (شخصوں کو) گواہ (کر لو) اگر تم کو ان گواہوں کی نسبت کچھ شک ہو تو ان کو (عصر کی) نماز کے بعد کھڑا کرو اور دونوں خدا کی قسمیں کھائیں کہ ہم شہادت کا کچھ عوض نہیں لیں گے گو ہمارا رشتہ دار ہی ہو اور نہ ہم الله کی شہادت کو چھپائیں گے اگر ایسا کریں گے تو گنہگار ہوں گے

O you who have believed, testimony [should be taken] among you when death approaches one of you at the time of bequest - [that of] two just men from among you or two others from outside if you are traveling through the land and the disaster of death should strike you. Detain them after the prayer and let them both swear by Allah if you doubt [their testimony, saying], "We will not exchange our oath for a price, even if he should be a near relative, and we will not withhold the testimony of Allah. Indeed, we would then be of the sinful."

فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنَّهُمَا ٱسْتَحَقَّآ إِثْمًا فَـَٔاخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَوْلَيَٰنِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا وَمَا ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿١٠٧﴾

Fain AAuthira AAala annahuma istahaqqa ithman faakharani yaqoomani maqamahuma mina allatheena istahaqqa AAalayhimu alawlayani fayuqsimani biAllahi lashahadatuna ahaqqu min shahadatihima wama iAAtadayna inna ithan lamina al<i>thth</i>alimeena

پھر اگر معلوم ہو جائے کہ ان دونوں نے (جھوٹ بول کر) گناہ حاصل کیا ہے تو جن لوگوں کا انہوں نے حق مارنا چاہا تھا ان میں سے ان کی جگہ اور دو گواہ کھڑے ہوں جو (میت سے) قرابت قریبہ رکھتے ہوں پھر وہ خدا کی قسمیں کھائیں کہ ہماری شہادت ان کی شہادت سے بہت اچھی ہے اور ہم نے کوئی زیادتی نہیں کی ایسا کیا ہو تو ہم بےانصاف ہیں

But if it is found that those two were guilty of perjury, let two others stand in their place [who are] foremost [in claim] from those who have a lawful right. And let them swear by Allah, "Our testimony is truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed. Indeed, we would then be of the wrongdoers."

ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ يَخَافُوٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَٰنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ ﴿١٠٨﴾

Thalika adna an yatoo bialshshahadati AAala wajhiha aw yakhafoo an turadda aymanun baAAda aymanihim waittaqoo Allaha waismaAAoo waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena

اس طریق سے بہت قریب ہے کہ یہ لوگ صحیح صحیح شہادت دیں یا اس بات سے خوف کریں کہ (ہماری) قسمیں ان کی قسموں کے بعد رد کر دی جائیں گی اور خدا سے ڈرو اور اس کے حکموں کو (گوشِ ہوش سے) سنو اور خدا نافرمان لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا

That is more likely that they will give testimony according to its [true] objective, or [at least] they would fear that [other] oaths might be taken after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبْتُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ ﴿١٠٩﴾

Yawma yajmaAAu Allahu alrrusula fayaqoolu matha ojibtum qaloo la AAilma lana innaka anta AAallamu alghuyoobi

(وہ دن یاد رکھنے کے لائق ہے) جس دن خدا پیغمبروں کو جمع کرے گا پھر ان سے پوچھے گا کہ تمہیں کیا جواب ملا تھا وہ عرض کریں گے کہ ہمیں کچھ معلوم نہیں توہی غیب کی باتوں سے واقف ہے

[Be warned of] the Day when Allah will assemble the messengers and say, "What was the response you received?" They will say, "We have no knowledge. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen"

إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿١١٠﴾

Ith qala Allahu ya AAeesa ibna maryama othkur niAAmatee AAalayka waAAala walidatika ith ayyadtuka biroohi alqudusi tukallimu alnnasa fee almahdi wakahlan waith AAallamtuka alkitaba waalhikmata waalttawrata waalinjeela waith takhluqu mina altteeni kahayati alttayri biithnee fatanfukhu feeha fatakoonu tayran biithnee watubrio alakmaha waalabrasa biithnee waith tukhriju almawta biithnee waith kafaftu banee israeela AAanka ith jitahum bialbayyinati faqala allatheena kafaroo minhum in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun

جب خدا (عیسیٰ سے) فرمائے گا کہ اے عیسیٰ بن مریم! میرے ان احسانوں کو یاد کرو جو میں نے تم پر اور تمہاری والدہ پر کئے جب میں نے روح القدس (یعنی جبرئیل) سے تمہاری مدد کی تم جھولے میں اور جوان ہو کر (ایک ہی نسق پر) لوگوں سے گفتگو کرتے تھے اور جب میں نے تم کو کتاب اور دانائی اور تورات اور انجیل سکھائی اور جب تم میرے حکم سے مٹی کا جانور بنا کر اس میں پھونک مار دیتے تھے تو وہ میرے حکم سے اڑنے لگتا تھا اور مادر زاد اندھے اور سفید داغ والے کو میرے حکم سے چنگا کر دیتے تھے اور مردے کو میرے حکم سے (زندہ کرکے قبر سے) نکال کھڑا کرتے تھے اور جب میں نے بنی اسرائیل (کے ہاتھوں) کو تم سے روک دیا جب تم ان کے پاس کھلے نشان لے کر آئے تو جو ان میں سے کافر تھے کہنے لگے کہ یہ صریح جادو ہے

[The Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but obvious magic."

وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى ٱلْحَوَارِيِّـۧنَ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِى وَبِرَسُولِى قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَٱشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ ﴿١١١﴾

Waith awhaytu ila alhawariyyeena an aminoo bee wabirasoolee qaloo amanna waishhad biannana muslimoona

اور جب میں نے حواریوں کی طرف حکم بھیجا کہ مجھ پر اور میرے پیغمبر پر ایمان لاؤ وہ کہنے لگے کہ (پروردگار) ہم ایمان لائے تو شاہد رہیو کہ ہم فرمانبردار ہیں

And [remember] when I inspired to the disciples, "Believe in Me and in My messenger Jesus." They said, "We have believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims [in submission to Allah]."

إِذْ قَالَ ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ قَالَ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١١٢﴾

Ith qala alhawariyyoona ya AAeesa ibna maryama hal yastateeAAu rabbuka an yunazzila AAalayna maidatan mina alssamai qala ittaqoo Allaha in kuntum mumineena

(وہ قصہ بھی یاد کرو) جب حواریوں نے کہا کہ اے عیسیٰ بن مریم! کیا تمہارا پروردگار ایسا کر سکتا ہے کہ ہم پر آسمان سے (طعام کا) خوان نازل کرے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ اگر ایمان رکھتے ہو تو خدا سے ڈرو

[And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah, if you should be believers."

قَالُوا۟ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ ﴿١١٣﴾

Qaloo nureedu an nakula minha watatmainna quloobuna wanaAAlama an qad sadaqtana wanakoona AAalayha mina alshshahideena

وہ بولے کہ ہماری یہ خواہش ہے کہ ہم اس میں سے کھائیں اور ہمارے دل تسلی پائیں اور ہم جان لیں کہ تم نے ہم سے سچ کہا ہے اور ہم اس (خوان کے نزول) پر گواہ رہیں

They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses."

قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةً مِّنكَ وَٱرْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ ﴿١١٤﴾

Qala AAeesa ibnu maryama allahumma rabbana anzil AAalayna maidatan mina alssamai takoonu lana AAeedan liawwalina waakhirina waayatan minka waorzuqna waanta khayru alrraziqeena

(تب) عیسیٰ بن مریم نے دعا کی کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہم پر آسمان سے خوان نازل فرما کہ ہمارے لیے (وہ دن) عید قرار پائے یعنی ہمارے اگلوں اور پچھلوں (سب) کے لیے اور وہ تیری طرف سے نشانی ہو اور ہمیں رزق دے تو بہتر رزق دینے والا ہے

Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers."

قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بَعْدُ مِنكُمْ فَإِنِّىٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدًا مِّنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿١١٥﴾

Qala Allahu innee munazziluha AAalaykum faman yakfur baAAdu minkum fainnee oAAaththibuhu AAathaban la oAAaththibuhu ahadan mina alAAalameena

خدا نے فرمایا میں تم پر ضرور خوان نازل فرماؤں گا لیکن جو اس کے بعد تم میں سے کفر کرے گا اسے ایسا عذاب دوں گا کہ اہل عالم میں کسی کو ایسا عذاب نہ دوں گا

Allah said, "Indeed, I will sent it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you - then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds."

وَإِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قَالَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُۥ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۥ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ ﴿١١٦﴾

Waith qala Allahu ya AAeesa ibna maryama aanta qulta lilnnasi ittakhithoonee waommiya ilahayni min dooni Allahi qala subhanaka ma yakoonu lee an aqoola ma laysa lee bihaqqin in kuntu qultuhu faqad AAalimtahu taAAlamu ma fee nafsee wala aAAlamu ma fee nafsika innaka anta AAallamu alghuyoobi

اور (اس وقت کو بھی یاد رکھو) جب خدا فرمائے گا کہ اے عیسیٰ بن مریم! کیا تم نے لوگوں سے کہا تھا کہ خدا کے سوا مجھے اور میری والدہ کو معبود مقرر کرو؟ وہ کہیں گے کہ تو پاک ہے مجھے کب شایاں تھا کہ میں ایسی بات کہتا جس کا مجھے کچھ حق نہیں اگر میں نے ایسا کہا ہوگا تو تجھ کو معلوم ہوگا (کیونکہ) جو بات میرے دل میں ہے تو اسے جانتا ہے اور جو تیرے ضمیر میں ہے اسے میں نہیں جانتا بےشک تو علاّم الغیوب ہے

And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.

مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَآ أَمَرْتَنِى بِهِۦٓ أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِى كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ ﴿١١٧﴾

Ma qultu lahum illa ma amartanee bihi ani oAAbudoo Allaha rabbee warabbakum wakuntu AAalayhim shaheedan ma dumtu feehim falamma tawaffaytanee kunta anta alrraqeeba AAalayhim waanta AAala kulli shayin shaheedun

میں نے ان سے کچھ نہیں کہا بجز اس کے جس کا تو نے مجھے حکم دیا ہے وہ یہ کہ تم خدا کی عبادت کرو جو میرا اور تمہارا سب کا پروردگار ہے اور جب تک میں ان میں رہا ان (کے حالات) کی خبر رکھتا رہا جب تو نے مجھے دنیا سے اٹھا لیا تو تو ان کا نگران تھا اور تو ہر چیز سے خبردار ہے

I said not to them except what You commanded me - to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness.

إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ﴿١١٨﴾

In tuAAaththibhum fainnahum AAibaduka wain taghfir lahum fainnaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeemu

اگر تو ان کو عذاب دے تو یہ تیرے بندے ہیں اور اگر بخش دے تو (تیری مہربانی ہے) بےشک تو غالب اور حکمت والا ہے

If You should punish them - indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them - indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ﴿١١٩﴾

Qala Allahu hatha yawmu yanfaAAu alssadiqeena sidquhum lahum jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha abadan radiya Allahu AAanhum waradoo AAanhu thalika alfawzu alAAa<i>th</i>eemu

خدا فرمائے گا کہ آج وہ دن ہے کہ راست بازوں کو ان کی سچائی ہی فائدہ دے گی ان کے لئے باغ ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں ابدالآباد ان میں بستے رہیں گے خدا ان سے خوش ہے اور وہ خدا سے خوش ہیں یہ بڑی کامیابی ہے

Allah will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment.

لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌۢ ﴿١٢٠﴾

Lillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi wama feehinna wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

آسمان اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان (دونوں) میں ہے سب پر خدا ہی کی بادشاہی ہے اور وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things competent.

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ وَٱلنُّورَ ثُمَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ ﴿١﴾

Alhamdu lillahi allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda wajaAAala al<i>thth</i>ulumati waalnnoora thumma allatheena kafaroo birabbihim yaAAdiloona

ہر طرح کی تعریف خدا ہی کو سزاوار ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا اور اندھیرا اور روشنی بنائی پھر بھی کافر (اور چیزوں کو) خدا کے برابر ٹھیراتے ہیں

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰٓ أَجَلًا وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُۥ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ ﴿٢﴾

Huwa allathee khalaqakum min teenin thumma qada ajalan waajalun musamman AAindahu thumma antum tamtaroona

وہی تو ہے جس نے تم کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا پھر (مرنے کا) ایک وقت مقرر کر دیا اور ایک مدت اس کے ہاں اور مقرر ہے پھر بھی تم (اے کافرو خدا کے بارے میں) شک کرتے ہو

It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.

وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ ﴿٣﴾

Wahuwa Allahu fee alssamawati wafee alardi yaAAlamu sirrakum wajahrakum wayaAAlamu ma taksiboona

اور آسمانوں اور زمین میں وہی (ایک) خدا ہے تمہاری پوشیدہ اور ظاہر سب باتیں جانتا ہے اور تم جو عمل کرتے ہو سب سے واقف ہے

And He is Allah, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn.

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ﴿٤﴾

Wama tateehim min ayatin min ayati rabbihim illa kanoo AAanha muAArideena

اور خدا کی نشانیوں میں سے کوئی نشانی ان لوگوں کے پاس نہیں آتی مگر یہ اس سے منہ پھیر لیتے ہیں

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom.

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴿٥﴾

Faqad kaththaboo bialhaqqi lamma jaahum fasawfa yateehim anbao ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona

جب ان کے پاس حق آیا تو اس کو بھی جھٹلا دیا سو ان کو ان چیزوں کا جن سے یہ استہزا کرتے ہیں عنقریب انجام معلوم ہو جائے گا

For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِينَ ﴿٦﴾

Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihim min qarnin makkannahum fee alardi ma lam numakkin lakum waarsalna alssamaa AAalayhim midraran wajaAAalna alanhara tajree min tahtihim faahlaknahum bithunoobihim waanshana min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena

کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی امتوں کو ہلاک کر دیا جن کے پاؤں ملک میں ایسے جما دیئے تھے کہ تمہارے پاؤں بھی ایسے نہیں جمائے اور ان پر آسمان سے لگاتار مینہ برسایا اور نہریں بنا دیں جو ان کے (مکانوں کے) نیچے بہہ رہی تھیں پھر ان کو ان کے گناہوں کے سبب ہلاک کر دیا اور ان کے بعد اور امتیں پیدا کر دیں

Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَٰبًا فِى قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿٧﴾

Walaw nazzalna AAalayka kitaban fee qirtasin falamasoohu biaydeehim laqala allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun

اور اگر ہم تم پر کاغذوں پر لکھی ہوئی کتاب نازل کرتے اور یہ اسے اپنے ہاتھوں سے بھی ٹٹول لیتے تو جو کافر ہیں وہ یہی کہہ دیتے کہ یہ تو (صاف اور) صریح جادو ہے

And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic."

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ ﴿٨﴾

Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhi malakun walaw anzalna malakan laqudiya alamru thumma la yun<i>th</i>aroona

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ان (پیغمبر) پر فرشتہ کیوں نازل نہ ہوا (جو ان کی تصدیق کرتا) اگر ہم فرشتہ نازل کرتے تو کام ہی فیصل ہو جاتا پھر انھیں (مطلق) مہلت نہ دی جاتی

And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved.

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَٰهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ رَجُلًا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ ﴿٩﴾

Walaw jaAAalnahu malakan lajaAAalnahu rajulan walalabasna AAalayhim ma yalbisoona

نیز اگر ہم کسی فرشتہ کو بھیجتے تو اسے مرد کی صورت میں بھیجتے اور جو شبہ (اب) کرتے ہیں اسی شبے میں پھر انہیں ڈال دیتے

And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves.

وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ﴿١٠﴾

Walaqadi istuhzia birusulin min qablika fahaqa biallatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona

اور تم سے پہلے بھی پیغمبروں کے ساتھ تمسخر ہوتے رہے ہیں سو جو لوگ ان میں سے تمسخر کیا کرتے تھے ان کو تمسخر کی سزا نے آگھیرا

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.

قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١١﴾

Qul seeroo fee alardi thumma on<i>th</i>uroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena

کہو کہ (اے منکرین رسالت) ملک میں چلو پھرو پھر دیکھو کہ جھٹلانے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا

Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers."

قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ قُل لِّلَّهِ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿١٢﴾

Qul liman ma fee alssamawati waalardi qul lillahi kataba AAala nafsihi alrrahmata layajmaAAannakum ila yawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yuminoona

(ان سے) پوچھو کہ آسمان اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے کس کا ہے کہہ دو خدا کا اس نے اپنی ذات (پاک) پر رحمت کو لازم کر لیا ہے وہ تم سب کو قیامت کے دن جس میں کچھ بھی شک نہیں ضرور جمع کرے گا جن لوگوں نے اپنے تیئیں نقصان میں ڈال رکھا ہے وہ ایمان نہیں لاتے

Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allah." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe.

وَلَهُۥ مَا سَكَنَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ﴿١٣﴾

Walahu ma sakana fee allayli waalnnahari wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu

اور جو مخلوق رات اور دن میں بستی ہے سب اسی کی ہے اور وہ سنتا جانتا ہے

And to Him belongs that which reposes by night and by day, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

قُلْ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ﴿١٤﴾

Qul aghayra Allahi attakhithu waliyyan fatiri alssamawati waalardi wahuwa yutAAimu wala yutAAamu qul innee omirtu an akoona awwala man aslama wala takoonanna mina almushrikeena

کہو کیا میں خدا کو چھوڑ کر کسی اور کو مددگار بناؤں کہ (وہی تو) آسمانوں اور زمین کا پیدا کرنے والا ہے اور وہی (سب کو) کھانا دیتا ہے اور خود کسی سے کھانا نہیں لیتا (یہ بھی) کہہ دو کہ مجھے یہ حکم ہوا ہے کہ میں سب سے پہلے اسلام لانے والا ہوں اور یہ کہ تم (اے پیغمبر!) مشرکوں میں نہ ہونا

Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.' "

قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿١٥﴾

Qul innee akhafu in AAasaytu rabbee AAathaba yawmin AAa<i>th</i>eemin

(یہ بھی) کہہ دو کہ اگر میں اپنے پروردگار کی نافرمانی کروں تو مجھے بڑے دن کے عذاب کا خوف ہے

Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day."

مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُۥ وَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ﴿١٦﴾

Man yusraf AAanhu yawmaithin faqad rahimahu wathalika alfawzu almubeenu

جس شخص سے اس روز عذاب ٹال دیا گیا اس پر خدا نے (بڑی) مہربانی فرمائی اور یہ کھلی کامیابی ہے

He from whom it is averted that Day - [Allah] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment.

وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿١٧﴾

Wain yamsaska Allahu bidurrin fala kashifa lahu illa huwa wain yamsaska bikhayrin fahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

اور اگر خدا تم کو کوئی سختی پہنچائے تو اس کے سوا اس کو کوئی دور کرنے والا نہیں اور اگر نعمت (وراحت) عطا کرے تو (کوئی اس کو روکنے والا نہیں) وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He touches you with good - then He is over all things competent.

وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ ﴿١٨﴾

Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihi wahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeeru

اور وہ اپنے بندوں پر غالب ہے اور وہ دانا اور خبردار ہے

And He is the subjugator over His servants. And He is the Wise, the Acquainted [with all].

قُلْ أَىُّ شَىْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَٰدَةً قُلِ ٱللَّهُ شَهِيدٌۢ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِۦ وَمَنۢ بَلَغَ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً أُخْرَىٰ قُل لَّآ أَشْهَدُ قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ وَإِنَّنِى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Qul ayyu shayin akbaru shahadatan quli Allahu shaheedun baynee wabaynakum waoohiya ilayya hatha alquranu lionthirakum bihi waman balagha ainnakum latashhadoona anna maAAa Allahi alihatan okhra qul la ashhadu qul innama huwa ilahun wahidun wainnanee bareeon mimma tushrikoona

ان سے پوچھو کہ سب سے بڑھ کر (قرین انصاف) کس کی شہادت ہے کہہ دو کہ خدا ہی مجھ میں اور تم میں گواہ ہے اور یہ قرآن مجھ پر اس لیے اتارا گیا ہے کہ اس کے ذریعے سے تم کو اور جس شخص تک وہ پہنچ سکے آگاہ کردوں کیا تم لوگ اس بات کی شہادت دیتے ہو کہ خدا کے ساتھ اور بھی معبود ہیں (اے محمدﷺ!) کہہ دو کہ میں تو (ایسی) شہادت نہیں دیتا کہہ دو کہ صرف وہی ایک معبود ہے اور جن کو تم لوگ شریک بناتے ہو میں ان سے بیزار ہوں

Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "Allah is witness between me and you. And this Qur'an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allah there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]."

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٢٠﴾

Allatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yaAArifoonahu kama yaAArifoona abnaahum allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yuminoona

جن لوگوں کو ہم نے کتاب دی ہے وہ ان (ہمارے پیغمبرﷺ) کو اس طرح پہچانتے ہیں جس طرح اپنے بیٹوں کو پہچانا کرتے ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے تئیں نقصان میں ڈال رکھا ہے وہ ایمان نہیں لاتے

Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe.

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Waman a<i>th</i>lamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba biayatihi innahu la yuflihu al<i>thth</i>alimoona

اور اس شخص سے زیادہ کون ظالم ہے جس نے خدا پر جھوٹ افتراء کیا یا اس کی آیتوں کو جھٹلایا۔ کچھ شک نہیں کہ ظالم لوگ نجات نہیں پائیں گے

And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed.

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thumma naqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo ayna shurakaokumu allatheena kuntum tazAAumoona

اور جس دن ہم سب لوگوں کو جمع کریں گے پھر مشرکوں سے پوچھیں گے کہ (آج) وہ تمہارے شریک کہاں ہیں جن کو تمہیں دعویٰ تھا

And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will gather them all together; then We will say to those who associated others with Allah, "Where are your 'partners' that you used to claim [with Him]?"

ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُن فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ وَٱللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ ﴿٢٣﴾

Thumma lam takun fitnatuhum illa an qaloo waAllahi rabbina ma kunna mushrikeena

تو ان سے کچھ عذر نہ بن پڑے گا (اور) بجز اس کے (کچھ چارہ نہ ہوگا) کہ کہیں خدا کی قسم جو ہمارا پروردگار ہے ہم شریک نہیں بناتے تھے

Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated."

ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ ﴿٢٤﴾

On<i>th</i>ur kayfa kathaboo AAala anfusihim wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona

دیکھو انہوں نے اپنے اوپر کیسا جھوٹ بولا اور جو کچھ یہ افتراء کیا کرتے تھے سب ان سے جاتا رہا

See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent.

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كُلَّ ءَايَةٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوكَ يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٢٥﴾

Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka wajaAAalna AAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihim waqran wain yaraw kulla ayatin la yuminoo biha hatta itha jaooka yujadiloonaka yaqoolu allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena

اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں کہ تمہاری (باتوں کی) طرف کان رکھتے ہیں۔ اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر تو پردے ڈال دیئے ہیں کہ ان کو سمجھ نہ سکیں اور کانوں میں ثقل پیدا کردیا ہے (کہ سن نہ سکیں) اور اگر یہ تمام نشانیاں بھی دیکھ لیں تب بھی ان پر ایمان نہ لائیں۔ یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے پاس تم سے بحث کرنے کو آتے ہیں تو جو کافر ہیں کہتے ہیں یہ (قرآن) اور کچھ بھی نہیں صرف پہلے لوگوں کی کہانیاں ہیں

And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples."

وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُ وَإِن يُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Wahum yanhawna AAanhu wayanawna AAanhu wain yuhlikoona illa anfusahum wama yashAAuroona

وہ اس سے (اوروں کو بھی) روکتے ہیں اور خود بھی پرے رہتے ہیں مگر (ان باتوں سے) اپنے آپ ہی کو ہلاک کرتے ہیں اور (اس سے) بےخبر ہیں

And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not.

وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَقَالُوا۟ يَٰلَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAala alnnari faqaloo ya laytana nuraddu wala nukaththiba biayati rabbina wanakoona mina almumineena

کاش تم (ان کو اس وقت) دیکھو جب یہ دوزخ کے کنارے کھڑے کئے جائیں گے اور کہیں گے کہ اے کاش ہم پھر (دنیا میں) لوٹا دیئے جائیں تاکہ اپنے پروردگار کی آیتوں کی تکذیب نہ کریں اور مومن ہوجائیں

If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers."

بَلْ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُخْفُونَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا۟ لَعَادُوا۟ لِمَا نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾

Bal bada lahum ma kanoo yukhfoona min qablu walaw ruddoo laAAadoo lima nuhoo AAanhu wainnahum lakathiboona

ہاں یہ جو کچھ پہلے چھپایا کرتے تھے (آج) ان پر ظاہر ہوگیا ہے اور اگر یہ (دنیا میں) لوٹائے بھی جائیں تو جن (کاموں) سے ان کو منع کیا گیا تھا وہی پھر کرنے لگیں۔کچھ شک نہیں کہ یہ جھوٹے ہیں

But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars.

وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾

Waqaloo in hiya illa hayatuna alddunya wama nahnu bimabAAootheena

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہماری جو دنیا کی زندگی ہے بس یہی (زندگی) ہے اور ہم (مرنے کے بعد) پھر زندہ نہیں کئے جائیں گے

And they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected."

وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَٰذَا بِٱلْحَقِّ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَا قَالَ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾

Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAala rabbihim qala alaysa hatha bialhaqqi qaloo bala warabbina qala fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona

اور کاش تم (ان کو اس وقت) دیکھو جب یہ اپنے پروردگار کےسامنے کھڑے کئے جائیں گے اور وہ فرمائےگا کیا یہ (دوبارہ زندہ ہونا) برحق نہیں تو کہیں گے کیوں نہیں پروردگار کی قسم (بالکل برحق ہے) خدا فرمائے گا اب کفر کے بدلے (جو دنیا میں کرتے تھے) عذاب (کے مزے) چکھو

If you could but see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He will say, "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will [then] say, "So taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve."

قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُوا۟ يَٰحَسْرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمْ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ ﴿٣١﴾

Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboo biliqai Allahi hatta itha jaathumu alssaAAatu baghtatan qaloo ya hasratana AAala ma farratna feeha wahum yahmiloona awzarahum AAala <i>th</i>uhoorihim ala saa ma yaziroona

جن لوگوں نے خدا کے روبرو حاضر ہونے کو جھوٹ سمجھا وہ گھاٹے میں آگئے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب ان پر قیامت ناگہاں آموجود ہوگی تو بول اٹھیں گے کہ (ہائے) اس تقصیر پر افسوس ہے جو ہم نے قیامت کے بارے میں کی۔ اور وہ اپنے (اعمال کے) بوجھ اپنی پیٹھوں پر اٹھائے ہوئے ہوں گے۔ دیکھو جو بوجھ یہ اٹھا رہے ہیں بہت برا ہے

Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allah, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it," while they bear their burdens on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.

وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَلَلدَّارُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Wama alhayatu alddunya illa laAAibun walahwun walalddaru alakhirati khayrun lillatheena yattaqoona afala taAAqiloona

اور دنیا کی زندگی تو ایک کھیل اور مشغولہ ہے۔ اور بہت اچھا گھر تو آخرت کا گھر ہے (یعنی) ان کے لئے جو (خدا سے) ڈرتے ہیں۔ کیا تم سمجھتے نہیں

And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason?

قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيَحْزُنُكَ ٱلَّذِى يَقُولُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Qad naAAlamu innahu layahzunuka allathee yaqooloona fainnahum la yukaththiboonaka walakinna al<i>thth</i>alimeena biayati Allahi yajhadoona

ہم کو معلوم ہے کہ ان (کافروں) کی باتیں تمہیں رنج پہنچاتی ہیں (مگر) یہ تمہاری تکذیب نہیں کرتے بلکہ ظالم خدا کی آیتوں سے انکار کرتے ہیں

We know that you, [O Muhammad], are saddened by what they say. And indeed, they do not call you untruthful, but it is the verses of Allah that the wrongdoers reject.

وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُوا۟ وَأُوذُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰهُمْ نَصْرُنَا وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِى۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٣٤﴾

Walaqad kuththibat rusulun min qablika fasabaroo AAala ma kuththiboo waoothoo hatta atahum nasruna wala mubaddila likalimati Allahi walaqad jaaka min nabai almursaleena

اور تم سے پہلے کبھی پیغمبر جھٹلائے جاتے رہے تو وہ تکذیب اور ایذا پر صبر کرتے رہے یہاں تک کہ ان کے پاس ہماری مدد پہنچتی رہی اور خدا کی باتوں کو کوئی بھی بدلنے والا نہیں۔ اور تم کو پیغمبروں (کے احوال) کی خبریں پہنچ چکی ہیں (تو تم بھی صبر سے کام لو)

And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words of Allah. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers.

وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتَ أَن تَبْتَغِىَ نَفَقًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَوْ سُلَّمًا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Wain kana kabura AAalayka iAAraduhum faini istataAAta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fee alardi aw sullaman fee alssamai fatatiyahum biayatin walaw shaa Allahu lajamaAAahum AAala alhuda fala takoonanna mina aljahileena

اور اگر ان کی روگردانی تم پر شاق گزرتی ہے تو اگر طاقت ہو تو زمین میں کوئی سرنگ ڈھونڈ نکالو یا آسمان میں سیڑھی (تلاش کرو) پھر ان کے پاس کوئی معجزہ لاؤ۔ اور اگر خدا چاہتا تو سب کو ہدایت پر جمع کردیتا پس تم ہرگز نادانوں میں نہ ہونا

And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allah had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant.

إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ وَٱلْمَوْتَىٰ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

Innama yastajeebu allatheena yasmaAAoona waalmawta yabAAathuhumu Allahu thumma ilayhi yurjaAAoona

بات یہ ہے کہ (حق کو) قبول وہی کرتے ہیں جو سنتے بھی ہیں اور مردوں کو تو خدا (قیامت ہی کو) اٹھائے گا۔ پھر اسی کی طرف لوٹ کر جائیں گے

Only those who hear will respond. But the dead - Allah will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned.

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُنَزِّلَ ءَايَةً وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٣٧﴾

Waqaloo lawla nuzzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi qul inna Allaha qadirun AAala an yunazzila ayatan walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ان پر ان کے پروردگارکے پاس کوئی نشانی کیوں نازل نہیں ہوئی۔ کہہ دو کہ خدا نشانی اتارنے پر قادر ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے

And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allah is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know."

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَٰٓئِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّآ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِن شَىْءٍ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ ﴿٣٨﴾

Wama min dabbatin fee alardi wala tairin yateeru bijanahayhi illa omamun amthalukum ma farratna fee alkitabi min shayin thumma ila rabbihim yuhsharoona

اور زمین میں جو چلنے پھرنے والا (حیوان) یا دو پروں سے اڑنے والا جانور ہے ان کی بھی تم لوگوں کی طرح جماعتیں ہیں۔ ہم نے کتاب (یعنی لوح محفوظ) میں کسی چیز (کے لکھنے) میں کوتاہی نہیں کی پھر سب اپنے پروردگار کی طرف جمع کئے جائیں گے

And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ مَن يَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿٣٩﴾

Waallatheena kaththaboo biayatina summun wabukmun fee al<i>thth</i>ulumati man yashai Allahu yudlilhu waman yasha yajAAalhu AAala siratin mustaqeemin

اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا وہ بہرے اور گونگے ہیں (اس کے علاوہ) اندھیرے میں (پڑے ہوئے) جس کو خدا چاہے گمراہ کردے اور جسے چاہے سیدھے رستے پر چلا دے

But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb within darknesses. Whomever Allah wills - He leaves astray; and whomever He wills - He puts him on a straight path.

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَدْعُونَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿٤٠﴾

Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabu Allahi aw atatkumu alssaAAatu aghayra Allahi tadAAoona in kuntum sadiqeena

کہو (کافرو) بھلا دیکھو تو اگر تم پر خدا کا عذاب آجائےیا قیامت آموجود ہو تو کیا تم (ایسی حالت میں) خدا کے سوا کسی اور کو پکارو گے؟ اگر سچے ہو (تو بتاؤ)

Say, "Have you considered: if there came to you the punishment of Allah or there came to you the Hour - is it other than Allah you would invoke, if you should be truthful?"

بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِن شَآءَ وَتَنسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ ﴿٤١﴾

Bal iyyahu tadAAoona fayakshifu ma tadAAoona ilayhi in shaa watansawna ma tushrikoona

بلکہ (مصیبت کے وقت تم) اسی کو پکارتے ہو تو جس دکھ کے لئے اسے پکارتے ہو۔ وہ اگر چاہتا ہے تو اس کو دور کردیتا ہے اور جن کو تم شریک بناتے ہو (اس وقت) انہیں بھول جاتے ہو

No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed, and you would forget what you associate [with Him].

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Walaqad arsalna ila omamin min qablika faakhathnahum bialbasai waalddarrai laAAallahum yatadarraAAoona

اور ہم نے تم سے پہلے بہت سی امتوں کی طرف پیغمبر بھیجے۔ پھر (ان کی نافرمانیوں کے سبب) ہم انہیں سختیوں اور تکلیفوں میں پکڑتے رہے تاکہ عاجزی کریں

And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muhammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us].

فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟ وَلَٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

Falawla ith jaahum basuna tadarraAAoo walakin qasat quloobuhum wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu ma kanoo yaAAmaloona

تو جب ان پر ہمارا عذاب آتا رہا کیوں نہیں عاجزی کرتے رہے۔ مگر ان کے تو دل ہی سخت ہوگئے تھے۔ اور جو وہ کام کرتے تھے شیطان ان کو (ان کی نظروں میں) آراستہ کر دکھاتا تھا

Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.

فَلَمَّا نَسُوا۟ مَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓا۟ أَخَذْنَٰهُم بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾

Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroo bihi fatahna AAalayhim abwaba kulli shayin hatta itha farihoo bima ootoo akhathnahum baghtatan faitha hum mublisoona

پھر جب انہوں نے اس نصیحت کو جو ان کو کے گئی تھی فراموش کردیا تو ہم نے ان پر ہر چیز کے دروازے کھول دیئے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب ان چیزوں سے جو ان کو دی گئی تھیں خوب خوش ہوگئے تو ہم نے ان کو ناگہاں پکڑ لیا اور وہ اس وقت مایوس ہو کر رہ گئے

So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٤٥﴾

FaqutiAAa dabiru alqawmi allatheena <i>th</i>alamoo waalhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

غرض ظالم لوگوں کی جڑ کاٹ دی گئی۔ اور سب تعریف خدائے رب العالمین ہی کو (سزاوار ہے)

So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُونَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Qul araaytum in akhatha Allahu samAAakum waabsarakum wakhatama AAala quloobikum man ilahun ghayru Allahi yateekum bihi on<i>th</i>ur kayfa nusarrifu alayati thumma hum yasdifoona

(ان کافروں سے) کہو کہ بھلا دیکھو تو اگر خدا تمہارے کان اور آنکھیں چھین لے اور تمہارے دلوں پر مہر لگادے تو خداکے سوا کون سا معبود ہے جو تمہیں یہ نعمتیں پھر بخشے؟ دیکھو ہم کس کس طرح اپنی آیتیں بیان کرتے ہیں۔ پھر بھی یہ لوگ ردگردانی کرتے ہیں

Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal upon your hearts, which deity other than Allah could bring them [back] to you?" Look how we diversify the verses; then they [still] turn away.

قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلْقَوْمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabu Allahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illa alqawmu al<i>thth</i>alimoona

کہو کہ بھلا بتاؤ تو اگر تم پر خدا کا عذاب بےخبری میں یا خبر آنے کے بعد آئے تو کیا ظالم لوگوں کے سوا کوئی اور بھی ہلاک ہوگا؟

Say, "Have you considered: if the punishment of Allah should come to you unexpectedly or manifestly, will any be destroyed but the wrongdoing people?"

وَمَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ فَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Wama nursilu almursaleena illa mubashshireena wamunthireena faman amana waaslaha fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona

اور ہم جو پیغمبروں کو بھیجتے رہے ہیں تو خوشخبری سنانے اور ڈرانے کو پھر جو شخص ایمان لائے اور نیکوکار ہوجائے تو ایسے لوگوں کو نہ کچھ خوف ہوگا اور نہ وہ اندوہناک ہوں گے

And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْسُقُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Waallatheena kaththaboo biayatina yamassuhumu alAAathabu bima kanoo yafsuqoona

اور جنہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا ان کی نافرمانیوں کے سبب انہیں عذاب ہوگا

But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience.

قُل لَّآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّى مَلَكٌ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾

Qul la aqoolu lakum AAindee khazainu Allahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqoolu lakum innee malakun in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya qul hal yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru afala tatafakkaroona

کہہ دو کہ میں تم سے یہ نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس الله تعالیٰ کے خزانے ہیں اور نہ (یہ کہ) میں غیب جانتا ہوں اور نہ تم سے یہ کہتا کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں۔ میں تو صرف اس حکم پر چلتا ہوں جو مجھے (خدا کی طرف سے) آتا ہے۔ کہہ دو کہ بھلا اندھا اور آنکھ والے برابر ہوتے ہیں؟ تو پھر تم غور کیوں نہیں کرتے

Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?"

وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن يُحْشَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ وَلِىٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ ﴿٥١﴾

Waanthir bihi allatheena yakhafoona an yuhsharoo ila rabbihim laysa lahum min doonihi waliyyun wala shafeeAAun laAAallahum yattaqoona

اور جو لوگ جو خوف رکھتے ہیں کہ اپنے پروردگار کے روبرو حاضر کئے جائیں گے (اور جانتے ہیں کہ) اس کے سوا نہ تو ان کا کوئی دوست ہوگا اور نہ سفارش کرنے والا، ان کو اس (قرآن) کے ذریعے سے نصیحت کر دو تاکہ پرہیزگار بنیں

And warn by the Qur'an those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous.

وَلَا تَطْرُدِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿٥٢﴾

Wala tatrudi allatheena yadAAoona rabbahum bialghadati waalAAashiyyi yureedoona wajhahu ma AAalayka min hisabihim min shayin wama min hisabika AAalayhim min shayin fatatrudahum fatakoona mina al<i>thth</i>alimeena

اور جو لوگ صبح وشام اپنی پروردگار سے دعا کرتے ہیں (اور) اس کی ذات کے طالب ہیں ان کو (اپنے پاس سے) مت نکالو۔ ان کے حساب (اعمال) کی جوابدہی تم پر کچھ نہیں اور تمہارے حساب کی جوابدہی ان پر کچھ نہیں (پس ایسا نہ کرنا) اگر ان کو نکالوگے تو ظالموں میں ہوجاؤ گے

And do not send away those who call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His countenance. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنۢ بَيْنِنَآ أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Wakathalika fatanna baAAdahum bibaAAdin liyaqooloo ahaolai manna Allahu AAalayhim min baynina alaysa Allahu biaAAlama bialshshakireena

اور اسی طرح ہم نے بعض لوگوں کی بعض سے آزمائش کی ہے کہ (جو دولتمند ہیں وہ غریبوں کی نسبت) کہتے ہیں کیا یہی لوگ ہیں جن پر خدا نے ہم میں سے فضل کیا ہے (خدا نے فرمایا) بھلا خدا شکر کرنے والوں سے واقف نہیں؟

And thus We have tried some of them through others that the disbelievers might say, "Is it these whom Allah has favored among us?" Is not Allah most knowing of those who are grateful?

وَإِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ أَنَّهُۥ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوٓءًۢا بِجَهَٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُۥ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿٥٤﴾

Waitha jaaka allatheena yuminoona biayatina faqul salamun AAalaykum kataba rabbukum AAala nafsihi alrrahmata annahu man AAamila minkum sooan bijahalatin thumma taba min baAAdihi waaslaha faannahu ghafoorun raheemun

اور جب تمہارے پاس ایسے لوگ آیا کریں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لاتے ہیں تو (ان سے) سلام علیکم کہا کرو خدا نے اپنی ذات (پاک) پر رحمت کو لازم کرلیا ہے کہ جو کوئی تم میں نادانی سے کوئی بری حرکت کر بیٹھے پھر اس کے بعد توبہ کرلے اور نیکوکار ہوجائے تو وہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful."

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ﴿٥٥﴾

Wakathalika nufassilu alayati walitastabeena sabeelu almujrimeena

اور اس طرح ہم اپنی آیتیں کھول کھول کر بیان کرتے ہیں (تاکہ تم لوگ ان پر عمل کرو) اور اس لئے کہ گنہگاروں کا رستہ ظاہر ہوجائے

And thus do We detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident.

قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قُل لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَآءَكُمْ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ ﴿٥٦﴾

Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi qul la attabiAAu ahwaakum qad dalaltu ithan wama ana mina almuhtadeena

(اے پیغمبر! کفار سے) کہہ دو کہ جن کو تم خدا کے سوا پکارتے ہو مجھے ان کی عبادت سے منع کیا گیا ہے۔ (یہ بھی) کہہ دو کہ میں تمہاری خواہشوں کی پیروی نہیں کروں گا ایسا کروں تو گمراہ ہوجاؤں اور ہدایت یافتہ لوگوں میں نہ رہوں

Say, "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you invoke besides Allah." Say, "I will not follow your desires, for I would then have gone astray, and I would not be of the [rightly] guided."

قُلْ إِنِّى عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِۦ مَا عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ يَقُصُّ ٱلْحَقَّ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَٰصِلِينَ ﴿٥٧﴾

Qul innee AAala bayyinatin min rabbee wakaththabtum bihi ma AAindee ma tastaAAjiloona bihi ini alhukmu illa lillahi yaqussu alhaqqa wahuwa khayru alfasileena

کہہ دو کہ میں تو اپنے پروردگار کی دلیل روشن پر ہوں اور تم اس کی تکذیب کرتے ہو۔ جس چیز (یعنی عذاب) کے لئے تم جلدی کر رہے ہو وہ میرے پاس نہیں ہے (ایسا) حکم الله ہی کے اختیار میں ہے وہ سچی بات بیان فرماتا ہے اور وہ سب سے بہتر فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے

Say, "Indeed, I am on clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which you are impatient. The decision is only for Allah. He relates the truth, and He is the best of deciders."

قُل لَّوْ أَنَّ عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦ لَقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿٥٨﴾

Qul law anna AAindee ma tastaAAjiloona bihi laqudiya alamru baynee wabaynakum waAllahu aAAlamu bial<i>thth</i>alimeena

کہہ دو کہ جس چیز کے لئے تم جلدی کر رہے ہو اگر وہ میرے اختیار میں ہوتی تو مجھ میں اور تم میں فیصلہ ہوچکا ہوتا۔ اور خدا ظالموں سے خوب واقف ہے

Say, "If I had that for which you are impatient, the matter would have been decided between me and you, but Allah is most knowing of the wrongdoers."

وَعِندَهُۥ مَفَاتِحُ ٱلْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٥٩﴾

WaAAindahu mafatihu alghaybi la yaAAlamuha illa huwa wayaAAlamu ma fee albarri waalbahri wama tasqutu min waraqatin illa yaAAlamuha wala habbatin fee <i>th</i>ulumati alardi wala ratbin wala yabisin illa fee kitabin mubeenin

اور اسی کے پاس غیب کی کنجیاں ہیں جن کو اس کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا۔ اور اسے جنگلوں اور دریاؤں کی سب چیزوں کا علم ہے۔ اور کوئی پتہ نہیں جھڑتا مگر وہ اس کو جانتا ہے اور زمین کے اندھیروں میں کوئی دانہ اور کوئی ہری اور سوکھی چیز نہیں ہے مگر کتاب روشن میں (لکھی ہوئی) ہے

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِٱلنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَىٰٓ أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٦٠﴾

Wahuwa allathee yatawaffakum biallayli wayaAAlamu ma jarahtum bialnnahari thumma yabAAathukum feehi liyuqda ajalun musamman thumma ilayhi marjiAAukum thumma yunabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona

اور وہی تو ہے جو رات کو (سونے کی حالت میں) تمہاری روح قبض کرلیتا ہے اور جو کچھ تم دن میں کرتے ہو اس سے خبر رکھتا ہے پھر تمہیں دن کو اٹھا دیتا ہے تاکہ (یہی سلسلہ جاری رکھ کر زندگی کی) معین مدت پوری کردی جائے پھر تم (سب) کو اسی کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے (اس روز) وہ تم کو تمہارے عمل جو تم کرتے ہو (ایک ایک کرکے) بتائے گا

And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do.

وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَ ﴿٦١﴾

Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihi wayursilu AAalaykum hafa<i>th</i>atan hatta itha jaa ahadakumu almawtu tawaffathu rusuluna wahum la yufarritoona

اور وہ اپنے بندوں پر غالب ہے۔ اور تم پر نگہبان مقرر کئے رکھتا ہے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کی موت آتی ہے تو ہمارے فرشتے اس کی روح قبض کرلیتے ہیں اور وہ کسی طرح کی کوتاہی نہیں کرتے

And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].

ثُمَّ رُدُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوْلَىٰهُمُ ٱلْحَقِّ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ ٱلْحَٰسِبِينَ ﴿٦٢﴾

Thumma ruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumu alhaqqi ala lahu alhukmu wahuwa asraAAu alhasibeena

پھر (قیامت کے دن تمام) لوگ اپنے مالک برحق خدا تعالیٰ کے پاس واپس بلائے جائیں گے۔ سن لو کہ حکم اسی کا ہے اور وہ نہایت جلد حساب لینے والا ہے

Then they His servants are returned to Allah, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of accountants.

قُلْ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً لَّئِنْ أَنجَىٰنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ﴿٦٣﴾

Qul man yunajjeekum min <i>th</i>ulumati albarri waalbahri tadAAoonahu tadarruAAan wakhufyatan lain anjana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena

کہو بھلا تم کو جنگلوں اور دریاؤں کے اندھیروں سے کون مخلصی دیتا ہے (جب) کہ تم اسے عاجزی اور نیاز پنہانی سے پکارتے ہو (اور کہتے ہو) اگر خدا ہم کو اس (تنگی) سے نجات بخشے تو ہم اس کے بہت شکر گزار ہوں

Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.' "

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُم مِّنْهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ ﴿٦٤﴾

Quli Allahu yunajjeekum minha wamin kulli karbin thumma antum tushrikoona

کہو کہ خدا ہی تم کو اس (تنگی) سے اور ہر سختی سے نجات بخشتا ہے۔ پھر (تم) اس کے ساتھ شرک کرتے ہو

Say, "It is Allah who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him."

قُلْ هُوَ ٱلْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ ﴿٦٥﴾

Qul huwa alqadiru AAala an yabAAatha AAalaykum AAathaban min fawqikum aw min tahti arjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaAAan wayutheeqa baAAdakum basa baAAdin on<i>th</i>ur kayfa nusarrifu alayati laAAallahum yafqahoona

کہہ دو کہ وہ (اس پر بھی) قدرت رکھتا ہے کہ تم پر اوپر کی طرف سے یا تمہارے پاؤں کے نیچے سے عذاب بھیجے یا تمہیں فرقہ فرقہ کردے اور ایک کو دوسرے (سے لڑا کر آپس) کی لڑائی کا مزہ چکھادے۔ دیکھو ہم اپنی آیتوں کو کس کس طرح بیان کرتے ہیں تاکہ یہ لوگ سمجھیں

Say, "He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects and make you taste the violence of one another." Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand.

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِۦ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ ﴿٦٦﴾

Wakaththaba bihi qawmuka wahuwa alhaqqu qul lastu AAalaykum biwakeelin

اور اس (قرآن) کو تمہاری قوم نے جھٹلایا حالانکہ وہ سراسر حق ہے۔ کہہ دو کہ میں تمہارا داروغہ نہیں ہوں

But your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say, "I am not over you a manager."

لِّكُلِّ نَبَإٍ مُّسْتَقَرٌّ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٦٧﴾

Likulli nabain mustaqarrun wasawfa taAAlamoona

ہر خبر کے لئے ایک وقت مقرر ہے اور تم کو عنقریب معلوم ہوجائے گا

For every happening is a finality; and you are going to know.

وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿٦٨﴾

Waitha raayta allatheena yakhoodoona fee ayatina faaAArid AAanhum hatta yakhoodoo fee hadeethin ghayrihi waimma yunsiyannaka alshshaytanu fala taqAAud baAAda alththikra maAAa alqawmi al<i>thth</i>alimeena

اور جب تم ایسے لوگوں کو دیکھو جو ہماری آیتوں کے بارے میں بیہودہ بکواس کر رہے ہوں تو ان سے الگ ہوجاؤ یہاں تک کہ اور باتوں میں مصروف ہوجائیں۔ اور اگر (یہ بات) شیطان تمہیں بھلا دے تو یاد آنے پر ظالم لوگوں کے ساتھ نہ بیٹھو

And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.

وَمَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ وَلَٰكِن ذِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ ﴿٦٩﴾

Wama AAala allatheena yattaqoona min hisabihim min shayin walakin thikra laAAallahum yattaqoona

اور پرہیزگاروں پر ان لوگوں کے حساب کی کچھ بھی جواب دہی نہیں ہاں نصیحت تاکہ وہ بھی پرہیزگار ہوں

And those who fear Allah are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him.

وَذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًا وَلَهْوًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَذَكِّرْ بِهِۦٓ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِىٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ وَإِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لَّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُوا۟ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ ﴿٧٠﴾

Wathari allatheena ittakhathoo deenahum laAAiban walahwan wagharrathumu alhayatu alddunya wathakkir bihi an tubsala nafsun bima kasabat laysa laha min dooni Allahi waliyyun wala shafeeAAun wain taAAdil kulla AAadlin la yukhath minha olaika allatheena obsiloo bima kasaboo lahum sharabun min hameemin waAAathabun aleemun bima kanoo yakfuroona

اور جن لوگوں نے اپنےدین کو کھیل اور تماشا بنا رکھا ہے اور دنیا کی زندگی نے ان کو دھوکے میں ڈال رکھا ہے ان سے کچھ کام نہ رکھو ہاں اس (قرآن) کے ذریعے سے نصیحت کرتے رہو تاکہ (قیامت کے دن) کوئی اپنے اعمال کی سزا میں ہلاکت میں نہ ڈالا جائے (اس روز) خدا کےسوا نہ تو کوئی اس کا دوست ہوگا اور نہ سفارش کرنے والا۔ اور اگر وہ ہر چیز (جو روئے زمین پر ہے بطور) معاوضہ دینا چاہے تو وہ اس سے قبول نہ ہو یہی لوگ ہیں کہ اپنے اعمال کے وبال میں ہلاکت میں ڈالے گئے ان کے لئے پینے کو کھولتا ہوا پانی اور دکھ دینے والا عذاب ہے اس لئے کہ کفر کرتے تھے

And leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with the Qur'an, lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allah no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.

قُلْ أَنَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ كَٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُۥٓ أَصْحَٰبٌ يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَى ٱئْتِنَا قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٧١﴾

Qul anadAAoo min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuna wala yadurruna wanuraddu AAala aAAqabina baAAda ith hadana Allahu kaallathee istahwathu alshshayateenu fee alardi hayrana lahu ashabun yadAAoonahu ila alhuda itina qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhuda waomirna linuslima lirabbi alAAalameena

کہو۔ کیا ہم خدا کے سوا ایسی چیز کو پکاریں جو نہ ہمارا بھلا کرسکے نہ برا۔ اور جب ہم کو خدا نے سیدھا رستہ دکھا دیا تو (کیا) ہم الٹے پاؤں پھر جائیں؟ (پھر ہماری ایسی مثال ہو) جیسے کسی کو جنات نے جنگل میں بھلا دیا ہو (اور وہ) حیران (ہو رہا ہو) اور اس کے کچھ رفیق ہوں جو اس کو رستے کی طرف بلائیں کہ ہمارے پاس چلا آ۔ کہہ دو کہ رستہ تو وہی ہے جو خدا نے بتایا ہے۔ اور ہمیں تو یہ حکم ملا ہے کہ ہم خدائے رب العالمین کے فرمانبردار ہوں

Say, "Shall we invoke instead of Allah that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allah has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], 'Come to us.' " Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.

وَأَنْ أَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ ﴿٧٢﴾

Waan aqeemoo alssalata waittaqoohu wahuwa allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona

اور یہ (بھی) کہ نماز پڑھتے رہو اور اس سے ڈرتے رہو۔ اور وہی تو ہے جس کے پاس تم جمع کئے جاؤ گے

And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ قَوْلُهُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ ﴿٧٣﴾

Wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda bialhaqqi wayawma yaqoolu kun fayakoonu qawluhu alhaqqu walahu almulku yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori AAalimu alghaybi waalshshahadati wahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeeru

اور وہی تو ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو تدبیر سے پیدا کیا ہے۔ اور جس دن وہ فرمائے گا کہ ہو جا تو (حشر برپا) ہوجائے گا ۔ اس کا ارشاد برحق ہے۔ اور جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا (اس دن) اسی کی بادشاہت ہوگی۔ وہی پوشیدہ اور ظاہر (سب) کا جاننے والا ہے اور وہی دانا اور خبردار ہے

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٧٤﴾

Waith qala ibraheemu liabeehi azara atattakhithu asnaman alihatan innee araka waqawmaka fee dalalin mubeenin

اور (وہ وقت بھی یاد کرنے کے لائق ہے) جب ابراہیم نے اپنے باپ آزر سے کہا کہ تم بتوں کو کیا معبود بناتے ہو۔ میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ تم اور تمہاری قوم صریح گمراہی میں ہو

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error."

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُوقِنِينَ ﴿٧٥﴾

Wakathalika nuree ibraheema malakoota alssamawati waalardi waliyakoona mina almooqineena

اور ہم اس طرح ابراہیم کو آسمانوں اور زمین کے عجائبات دکھانے لگے تاکہ وہ خوب یقین کرنے والوں میں ہوجائیں

And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith]

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ ﴿٧٦﴾

Falamma janna AAalayhi allaylu raa kawkaban qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qala la ohibbu alafileena

(یعنی) جب رات نے ان کو (پردہٴ تاریکی سے) ڈھانپ لیا (تو آسمان میں) ایک ستارا نظر پڑا۔ کہنے لگے یہ میرا پروردگار ہے۔ جب وہ غائب ہوگیا تو کہنے لگے کہ مجھے غائب ہوجانے والے پسند نہیں

So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that disappear."

فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِى رَبِّى لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿٧٧﴾

Falamma raa alqamara bazighan qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qala lain lam yahdinee rabbee laakoonanna mina alqawmi alddalleena

پھر جب چاند کو دیکھا کہ چمک رہا ہے تو کہنے لگے یہ میرا پروردگار ہے۔ لیکن جب وہ بھی چھپ گیا تو بول اٹھے کہ میرا پروردگار مجھے سیدھا رستہ نہیں دکھائے گا تو میں ان لوگوں میں ہوجاؤں گا جو بھٹک رہے ہیں

And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray."

فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى هَٰذَآ أَكْبَرُ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ ﴿٧٨﴾

Falamma raa alshshamsa bazighatan qala hatha rabbee hatha akbaru falamma afalat qala ya qawmi innee bareeon mimma tushrikoona

پھر جب سورج کو دیکھا کہ جگمگا رہا ہے تو کہنے لگے میرا پروردگار یہ ہے یہ سب سے بڑا ہے۔ مگر جب وہ بھی غروب ہوگیا تو کہنے لگے لوگو! جن چیزوں کو تم (خدا کا) شریک بناتے ہو میں ان سے بیزار ہوں

And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allah.

إِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ﴿٧٩﴾

Innee wajjahtu wajhiya lillathee fatara alssamawati waalarda haneefan wama ana mina almushrikeena

میں نے سب سے یکسو ہو کر اپنے تئیں اسی ذات کی طرف متوجہ کیا جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے اور میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں

Indeed, I have turned my face toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah."

وَحَآجَّهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ قَالَ أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّى فِى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنِ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ رَبِّى شَيْـًٔا وَسِعَ رَبِّى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٨٠﴾

Wahajjahu qawmuhu qala atuhajjoonnee fee Allahi waqad hadani wala akhafu ma tushrikoona bihi illa an yashaa rabbee shayan wasiAAa rabbee kulla shayin AAilman afala tatathakkaroona

اور ان کی قوم ان سے بحث کرنے لگی تو انہوں نے کہا کہ تم مجھ سے خدا کے بارےمیں (کیا) بحث کرتے ہو اس نے تو مجھے سیدھا رستہ دکھا دیا ہے۔ اور جن چیزوں کو تم اس کا شریک بناتے ہو میں ان سے نہیں ڈرتا۔ ہاں جو میرا پروردگار چاہے۔ میرا پروردگار اپنے علم سے ہر چیز پر احاطہ کئے ہوئے ہے۔ کیا تم خیال نہیں کرتے۔

And his people argued with him. He said, "Do you argue with me concerning Allah while He has guided me? And I fear not what you associate with Him [and will not be harmed] unless my Lord should will something. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge; then will you not remember?

وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰنًا فَأَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلْأَمْنِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٨١﴾

Wakayfa akhafu ma ashraktum wala takhafoona annakum ashraktum biAllahi ma lam yunazzil bihi AAalaykum sultanan faayyu alfareeqayni ahaqqu bialamni in kuntum taAAlamoona

بھلا میں ان چیزوں سے جن کو تم (خدا کا) شریک بناتے ہو کیونکرڈروں جب کہ تم اس سے نہیں ڈرتے کہ خدا کے ساتھ شریک بناتے ہو جس کی اس نے کوئی سند نازل نہیں کی۔ اب دونوں فریق میں سے کون سا فریق امن (اور جمعیت خاطر) کا مستحق ہے۔ اگر سمجھ رکھتے ہو (تو بتاؤ)

And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know?

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ ﴿٨٢﴾

Allatheena amanoo walam yalbisoo eemanahum bi<i>th</i>ulmin olaika lahumu alamnu wahum muhtadoona

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور اپنے ایمان کو (شرک کے) ظلم سے مخلوط نہیں کیا ان کے امن (اور جمعیت خاطر) ہے اور وہی ہدایت پانے والے ہیں

They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.

وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَٰتٍ مَّن نَّشَآءُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٨٣﴾

Watilka hujjatuna ataynaha ibraheema AAala qawmihi narfaAAu darajatin man nashao inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleemun

اور یہ ہماری دلیل تھی جو ہم نے ابراہیم کو ان کی قوم کے مقابلے میں عطا کی تھی۔ ہم جس کے چاہتے ہیں درجے بلند کردیتے ہیں۔ بےشک تمہارا پروردگار دانا اور خبردار ہے

And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿٨٤﴾

Wawahabna lahu ishaqa wayaAAqooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadayna min qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymana waayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalika najzee almuhsineena

اور ہم نے ان کو اسحاق اور یعقوب بخشے۔ (اور) سب کو ہدایت دی۔ اور پہلے نوح کو بھی ہدایت دی تھی اور ان کی اولاد میں سے داؤد اور سلیمان اور ایوب اور یوسف اور موسیٰ اور ہارون کو بھی۔ اور ہم نیک لوگوں کو ایسا ہی بدلا دیا کرتے ہیں

And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good.

وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿٨٥﴾

Wazakariyya wayahya waAAeesa wailyasa kullun mina alssaliheena

اور زکریا اور یحییٰ اور عیسیٰ اور الیاس کو بھی۔ یہ سب نیکوکار تھے

And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous.

وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًا وَكُلًّا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٨٦﴾

WaismaAAeela wailyasaAAa wayoonusa walootan wakullan faddalna AAala alAAalameena

اور اسمٰعیل اور الیسع اور یونس اور لوط کو بھی۔ اور ان سب کو جہان کے لوگوں پر فضلیت بخشی تھی

And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We preferred over the worlds.

وَمِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿٨٧﴾

Wamin abaihim wathurriyyatihim waikhwanihim waijtabaynahum wahadaynahum ila siratin mustaqeemin

اور بعض بعض کو ان کے باپ دادا اور اولاد اور بھائیوں میں سے بھی۔ اور ان کو برگزیدہ بھی کیا تھا اور سیدھا رستہ بھی دکھایا تھا

And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.

ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٨٨﴾

Thalika huda Allahi yahdee bihi man yashao min AAibadihi walaw ashrakoo lahabita AAanhum ma kanoo yaAAmaloona

یہ خدا کی ہدایت ہے اس پر اپنے بندوں میں سے جسے چاہے چلائے۔ اور اگر وہ لوگ شرک کرتے تو جو عمل وہ کرتے تھے سب ضائع ہوجاتے

That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ ﴿٨٩﴾

Olaika allatheena ataynahumu alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata fain yakfur biha haolai faqad wakkalna biha qawman laysoo biha bikafireena

یہ وہ لوگ تھے جن کو ہم نے کتاب اور حکم (شریعت) اور نبوت عطا فرمائی تھی۔ اگر یہ (کفار) ان باتوں سے انکار کریں تو ہم نے ان پر (ایمان لانے کے لئے) ایسے لوگ مقرر کردیئے ہیں کہ وہ ان سے کبھی انکار کرنے والے نہیں

Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if the disbelievers deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُ فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ ٱقْتَدِهْ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٩٠﴾

Olaika allatheena hada Allahu fabihudahumu iqtadih qul la asalukum AAalayhi ajran in huwa illa thikra lilAAalameena

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کو خدا نے ہدایت دی تھی تو تم انہیں کی ہدایت کی پیروی کرو۔ کہہ دو کہ میں تم سے اس (قرآن) کا صلہ نہیں مانگتا۔ یہ تو جہان کے لوگوں کے لئےمحض نصیحت ہے

Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for this message no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds."

وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٍ مِّن شَىْءٍ قُلْ مَنْ أَنزَلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورًا وَهُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيرًا وَعُلِّمْتُم مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِى خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ ﴿٩١﴾

Wama qadaroo Allaha haqqa qadrihi ith qaloo ma anzala Allahu AAala basharin min shayin qul man anzala alkitaba allathee jaa bihi moosa nooran wahudan lilnnasi tajAAaloonahu qarateesa tubdoonaha watukhfoona katheeran waAAullimtum ma lam taAAlamoo antum wala abaokum quli Allahu thumma tharhum fee khawdihim yalAAaboona

اور ان لوگوں نے خدا کی قدر جیسی جاننی چاہیئے تھی نہ جانی۔ جب انہوں نے کہا کہ خدا نے انسان پر (وحی اور کتاب وغیرہ) کچھ بھی نازل نہیں کیا۔ کہو جو کتاب موسیٰ لے کر آئے تھے اسے کس نے نازل کیا تھا جو لوگوں کے لئے نور اور ہدایت تھی اور جسے تم نے علیحدہ علیحدہ اوراق (پر نقل) کر رکھا ہے ان (کے کچھ حصے) کو تو ظاہر کرتے ہو اور اکثر کو چھپاتے ہو۔ اور تم کو وہ باتیں سکھائی گئیں جن کو نہ تم جانتے تھے اور نہ تمہارے باپ دادا۔ کہہ دو (اس کتاب کو) خدا ہی نے (نازل کیا تھا) پھر ان کو چھوڑ دیا کہ اپنی بیہودہ بکواس میں کھیلتے رہیں

And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal when they said, "Allah did not reveal to a human being anything." Say, "Who revealed the Scripture that Moses brought as light and guidance to the people? You [Jews] make it into pages, disclosing [some of] it and concealing much. And you were taught that which you knew not - neither you nor your fathers." Say, "Allah [revealed it]." Then leave them in their [empty] discourse, amusing themselves.

وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَارَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ﴿٩٢﴾

Wahatha kitabun anzalnahu mubarakun musaddiqu allathee bayna yadayhi walitunthira omma alqura waman hawlaha waallatheena yuminoona bialakhirati yuminoona bihi wahum AAala salatihim yuhafi<i>th</i>oona

اور (ویسی ہی) یہ کتاب ہے جسے ہم نے نازل کیا ہے بابرکت جو اپنے سے پہلی (کتابوں) کی تصدیق کرتی ہے اور (جو) اس لئے (نازل کی گئی ہے) کہ تم مکے اور اس کے آس پاس کے لوگوں کو آگاہ کردو۔ اور جو لوگ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں وہ اس کتاب پر بھی ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور وہ اپنی نمازوں کی پوری خبر رکھتے ہیں

And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers.

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِى غَمَرَٰتِ ٱلْمَوْتِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ﴿٩٣﴾

Waman a<i>th</i>lamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw qala oohiya ilayya walam yooha ilayhi shayon waman qala saonzilu mithla ma anzala Allahu walaw tara ithi al<i>thth</i>alimoona fee ghamarati almawti waalmalaikatu basitoo aydeehim akhrijoo anfusakumu alyawma tujzawna AAathaba alhooni bima kuntum taqooloona AAala Allahi ghayra alhaqqi wakuntum AAan ayatihi tastakbiroona

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جو خدا پر جھوٹ افتراء کرے۔ یا یہ کہے کہ مجھ پر وحی آئی ہے حالانکہ اس پر کچھ بھی وحی نہ آئی ہو اور جو یہ کہے کہ جس طرح کی کتاب خدا نے نازل کی ہے اس طرح کی میں بھی بنا لیتا ہوں۔ اور کاش تم ان ظالم (یعنی مشرک) لوگوں کو اس وقت دیکھو جب موت کی سختیوں میں (مبتلا) ہوں اور فرشتے (ان کی طرف عذاب کے لئے) ہاتھ بڑھا رہے ہوں کہ نکالو اپنی جانیں۔ آج تم کو ذلت کے عذاب کی سزا دی جائے گی اس لئے کہ تم خدا پر جھوٹ بولا کرتے تھے اور اس کی آیتوں سے سرکشی کرتے تھے

And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allah revealed." And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant."

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰدَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ ﴿٩٤﴾

Walaqad jitumoona furada kama khalaqnakum awwala marratin wataraktum ma khawwalnakum waraa <i>th</i>uhoorikum wama nara maAAakum shufaAAaakumu allatheena zaAAamtum annahum feekum shurakao laqad taqattaAAa baynakum wadalla AAankum ma kuntum tazAAumoona

اور جیسا ہم نے تم کو پہلی دفعہ پیدا کیا تھا ایسا ہی آج اکیلے اکیلے ہمارے پاس آئے اور جو (مال ومتاع) ہم نے تمہیں عطا فرمایا تھا وہ سب اپنی پیٹھ پیچھے چھوڑ آئے اور ہم تمہارے ساتھ تمہارے سفارشیوں کو بھی نہیں دیکھتے جن کی نسبت تم خیال کرتے تھے کہ وہ تمہارے (شفیع اور ہمارے) شریک ہیں۔ (آج) تمہارے آپس کے سب تعلقات منقطع ہوگئے اور جو دعوے تم کیا کرتے تھے سب جاتے رہے

[It will be said to them], "And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed upon you behind you. And We do not see with you your 'intercessors' which you claimed that they were among you associates [of Allah]. It has [all] been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to claim."

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ فَالِقُ ٱلْحَبِّ وَٱلنَّوَىٰ يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتِ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ ﴿٩٥﴾

Inna Allaha faliqu alhabbi waalnnawa yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wamukhriju almayyiti mina alhayyi thalikumu Allahu faanna tufakoona

بے شک خدا ہی دانے اور گٹھلی کو پھاڑ کر (ان سے درخت وغیرہ) اگاتا ہے وہی جاندار کو بے جان سے نکالتا ہے اور وہی بےجان کا جاندار سے نکالنے والا ہے۔ یہی تو خدا ہے۔ پھر تم کہاں بہکے پھرتے ہو

Indeed, Allah is the cleaver of grain and date seeds. He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living. That is Allah; so how are you deluded?

فَالِقُ ٱلْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ ﴿٩٦﴾

Faliqu alisbahi wajaAAala allayla sakanan waalshshamsa waalqamara husbanan thalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemi

وہی (رات کے اندھیرے سے) صبح کی روشنی پھاڑ نکالتا ہے اور اسی نے رات کو (موجب) آرام (ٹھہرایا) اور سورج اور چاند کو (ذرائع) شمار بنایا ہے۔ یہ خدا کے (مقرر کئے ہوئے) اندازے ہیں جو غالب (اور) علم والا ہے

[He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلنُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا۟ بِهَا فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٩٧﴾

Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumu alnnujooma litahtadoo biha fee <i>th</i>ulumati albarri waalbahri qad fassalna alayati liqawmin yaAAlamoona

اور وہی تو ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے ستارے بنائے تاکہ جنگلوں اور دریاؤں کے اندھیروں میں ان سے رستے معلوم کرو۔ عقل والوں کے لئے ہم نے اپنی آیتیں کھول کھول کر بیان کردی ہیں

And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُونَ ﴿٩٨﴾

Wahuwa allathee anshaakum min nafsin wahidatin famustaqarrun wamustawdaAAun qad fassalna alayati liqawmin yafqahoona

اور وہی تو ہے جس نے تم کو ایک شخص سے پیدا کیا۔ پھر (تمہارے لئے) ایک ٹھہرنے کی جگہ ہے اور ایک سپرد ہونے کی سمجھنے والوں کے لئے ہم نے (اپنی) آیتیں کھول کھول کر بیان کردی ہیں

And it is He who produced you from one soul and [gave you] a place of dwelling and of storage. We have detailed the signs for a people who understand.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًا نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّا مُّتَرَاكِبًا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِيَةٌ وَجَنَّٰتٍ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍ ٱنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِۦٓ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكُمْ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٩٩﴾

Wahuwa allathee anzala mina alssamai maan faakhrajna bihi nabata kulli shayin faakhrajna minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habban mutarakiban wamina alnnakhli min talAAiha qinwanun daniyatun wajannatin min aAAnabin waalzzaytoona waalrrummana mushtabihan waghayra mutashabihin on<i>th</i>uroo ila thamarihi itha athmara wayanAAihi inna fee thalikum laayatin liqawmin yuminoona

اور وہی تو ہے جو آسمان سے مینھ برساتا ہے۔ پھر ہم ہی (جو مینھ برساتے ہیں) اس سے ہر طرح کی روئیدگی اگاتے ہیں۔ پھر اس میں سے سبز سبز کونپلیں نکالتے ہیں۔ اور ان کونپلوں میں سے ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ جڑے ہوئے دانے نکالتے ہیں اور کھجور کے گابھے میں سے لٹکتے ہوئے گچھے اور انگوروں کے باغ اور زیتون اور انار جو ایک دوسرے سے ملتے جلتے بھی ہیں۔ اور نہیں بھی ملتے۔ یہ چیزیں جب پھلتی ہیں تو ان کے پھلوں پر اور (جب پکتی ہیں تو) ان کے پکنے پر نظر کرو۔ ان میں ان لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان لاتے ہیں (قدرت خدا کی بہت سی) نشانیاں ہیں

And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ ٱلْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ وَخَرَقُوا۟ لَهُۥ بَنِينَ وَبَنَٰتٍۭ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴿١٠٠﴾

WajaAAaloo lillahi shurakaa aljinna wakhalaqahum wakharaqoo lahu baneena wabanatin bighayri AAilmin subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yasifoona

اور ان لوگوں نے جنوں کو خدا کا شریک ٹھہرایا۔ حالانکہ ان کو اسی نے پیدا کیا اور بےسمجھے (جھوٹ بہتان) اس کے لئے بیٹے اور بیٹیاں بنا کھڑی کیں وہ ان باتوں سے جو اس کی نسبت بیان کرتے ہیں پاک ہے اور (اس کی شان ان سے) بلند ہے

But they have attributed to Allah partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters. Exalted is He and high above what they describe

بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُۥ صَٰحِبَةٌ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ﴿١٠١﴾

BadeeAAu alssamawati waalardi anna yakoonu lahu waladun walam takun lahu sahibatun wakhalaqa kulla shayin wahuwa bikulli shayin AAaleemun

(وہی) آسمانوں اور زمین کا پیدا کرنے والا (ہے) ۔ اس کے اولاد کہاں سے ہو جب کہ اس کی بیوی ہی نہیں۔ اور اس نے ہر چیز کو پیدا کیا ہے۔ اور وہ ہر چیز سے باخبر ہے

[He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَكِيلٌ ﴿١٠٢﴾

Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum la ilaha illa huwa khaliqu kulli shayin faoAAbudoohu wahuwa AAala kulli shayin wakeelun

یہی (اوصاف رکھنے والا) خدا تمہارا پروردگار ہے۔ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ (وہی) ہر چیز کا پیداکرنے والا (ہے) تو اسی کی عبادت کرو۔ اور وہ ہر چیز کا نگراں ہے

That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things.

لَّا تُدْرِكُهُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ ﴿١٠٣﴾

La tudrikuhu alabsaru wahuwa yudriku alabsara wahuwa allateefu alkhabeeru

(وہ ایسا ہے کہ) نگاہیں اس کا ادراک نہیں کرسکتیں اور وہ نگاہوں کا ادراک کرسکتا ہے اور وہ بھید جاننے والا خبردار ہے

Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted.

قَدْ جَآءَكُم بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَنْ أَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ وَمَنْ عَمِىَ فَعَلَيْهَا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍ ﴿١٠٤﴾

Qad jaakum basairu min rabbikum faman absara falinafsihi waman AAamiya faAAalayha wama ana AAalaykum bihafee<i>th</i>in

(اے محمدﷺ! ان سے کہہ دو کہ) تمہارے (پاس) پروردگار کی طرف سے (روشن) دلیلیں پہنچ چکی ہیں تو جس نے (ان کو آنکھ کھول کر) دیکھا اس نے اپنا بھلا کیا اور جو اندھا بنا رہا اس نے اپنے حق میں برا کیا۔ اور میں تمہارا نگہبان نہیں ہوں

There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], "I am not a guardian over you."

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ وَلِيَقُولُوا۟ دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُۥ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٠٥﴾

Wakathalika nusarrifu alayati waliyaqooloo darasta walinubayyinahu liqawmin yaAAlamoona

اور ہم اسی طرح اپنی آیتیں پھیر پھیر کر بیان کرتے ہیں تاکہ کافر یہ نہ کہیں کہ تم (یہ باتیں اہل کتاب سے) سیکھے ہوئے ہو اور تاکہ سمجھنے والے لوگوں کے لئے تشریح کردیں

And thus do We diversify the verses so the disbelievers will say, "You have studied," and so We may make the Qur'an clear for a people who know.

ٱتَّبِعْ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ﴿١٠٦﴾

IttabiAA ma oohiya ilayka min rabbika la ilaha illa huwa waaAArid AAani almushrikeena

اور جو حکم تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے تمہارے پاس آتا ہے اسی کی پیروی کرو۔ اس (پروردگار) کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ اور مشرکوں سے کنارہ کرلو

Follow, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no deity except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with Allah.

وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكُوا۟ وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ ﴿١٠٧﴾

Walaw shaa Allahu ma ashrakoo wama jaAAalnaka AAalayhim hafee<i>th</i>an wama anta AAalayhim biwakeelin

اور اگر خدا چاہتا تو یہ لوگ شرک نہ کرتے۔ اور (اے پیغمبر!) ہم نے تم کو ان پر نگہبان مقرر نہیں کیا۔ اور نہ تم ان کے داروغہ ہو

But if Allah had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them.

وَلَا تَسُبُّوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَدْوًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿١٠٨﴾

Wala tasubboo allatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi fayasubboo Allaha AAadwan bighayri AAilmin kathalika zayyanna likulli ommatin AAamalahum thumma ila rabbihim marjiAAuhum fayunabbiohum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona

اور جن لوگوں کو یہ مشرک خدا کے سوا پکارتے ہیں ان کو برا نہ کہنا کہ یہ بھی کہیں خدا کو بےادبی سے بے سمجھے برا (نہ) کہہ بیٹھیں۔ اس طرح ہم نے ہر ایک فرقے کے اعمال (ان کی نظروں میں) اچھے کر دکھائے ہیں۔ پھر ان کو اپنے پروردگار ک طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے تب وہ ان کو بتائے گا کہ وہ کیا کیا کرتے تھے

And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.

وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَآ إِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿١٠٩﴾

Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim lain jaathum ayatun layuminunna biha qul innama alayatu AAinda Allahi wama yushAAirukum annaha itha jaat la yuminoona

اور یہ لوگ خدا کی سخت سخت قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ اگر ان کے پاس کوئی نشانی آئے تو وہ اس پر ضروری ایمان لے آئیں۔ کہہ دو کہ نشانیاں تو سب خدا ہی کے پاس ہیں۔ اور (مومنو!) تمہیں کیا معلوم ہے (یہ تو ایسے بدبخت ہیں کہ ان کے پاس) نشانیاں آ بھی جائیں تب بھی ایمان نہ لائیں

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with Allah." And what will make you perceive that even if a sign came, they would not believe.

وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْـِٔدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ﴿١١٠﴾

Wanuqallibu afidatahum waabsarahum kama lam yuminoo bihi awwala marratin wanatharuhum fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona

اور ہم ان کے دلوں اور آنکھوں کو الٹ دیں گے (تو) جیسے یہ اس (قرآن) پر پہلی دفعہ ایمان نہیں لائے (ویسے پھر نہ لائیں گے) اور ان کو چھوڑ دیں گے کہ اپنی سرکشی میں بہکتے رہیں

And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it the first time. And We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly.
